Tag Heuer’s latest smartwatch is smaller and features customizable looks

Tag Heuer’s latest automaton Wear smartwatch, the $1,200 Connected standard forty one, is Swiss-made and a pleasant selection if you’re probing for one thing with slightly additional weight and quality than most wearables. The Connected standard forty one is water-proof up to fifty meters, and options GPS, associate NFC device for contactless payment (Android Pay), and customizable TAG Heuer dials.

It’s designed for smaller wrists with a watchface diameter of 41mm, and it options a AMOLED 390 x 390 screen with improved brightness. The Connected standard forty one has many enhancements from the larger 45mm version (called the Connected standard 45), with inflated storage capability of 8GB, and 1GB of RAM.

Tag Heuer says it collaborated with Intel and Google within the development of the watch. There square measure seven normal models out there with customizable straps and lugs. There square measure 9 strap colours out there, together with new colours of pink, blue, and whit leather. If you get bored of the smartwatch face, Tag Heuer says the connected module are often replaced with a three-hand mechanical module, stating that “the connected watch becomes a sexy mechanical watch in precisely a number of clicks.”

Both the Connected standard forty five and forty one square measure compatible with automaton four.4 and iOS nine or later. The watch is $1,200 (£1,000, or €1,100) and is on the market from Tag Heuer’s on-line store. That’s still higher than a number of Tag Heuer’s different smartwatches; there’s one that prices $9,900 and is formed of solid rose gold.
